At Silk & Thread, I have always prided myself on giving a personal touch, and going the extra mile. With that, I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Gopi, the founder of Silk & Thread.

Silk & Thread was born in 2018. I was busy planning a family wedding while managing a toddler and newborn. Although there was an array of beautiful outfits available in the shops, visiting these stores felt like an impossible mission. Not only were they crowded and stressful, parking to scarce, the service was shocking and the facilities for a young mother to manage babies/ children was non existent! I had lost count of the times I was over promised and under delivered to.

Inspired by my love of the rich heritage of Indian fashion, I decided to create a brand that would offer luxurious designs whilst passionately delivering exceptional customer service from order to aftercare.

Every piece in our collection has been hand picked or designed to uphold quality, tradition and timeless looks you can keep in your wardrobe for years to come and eventually pass on to future generations.

As the mission has always been to create unique pieces with longevity, the brand began by introducing The Signature Collection. Pieces from The Signature Collection can be purchased individually and mixed and matched to accommodate a broad spectrum of events and be reworn and restyled time and time again.

Since 2018, Silk & Thread has come a long way, offering a wide range of exquisite designs as well as a bespoke bridal service. Today, our brand continues to redefine Indian fashion, creating designs that celebrate heritage, quality, and style. I am proud of the journey so far and excited for what the future holds.
